I'm a Central Maine family photographer, Maine native, boy mom, and someone who has always believed photographs matter, not just because they show what life looked like, but because they help us hold onto how it felt.
Why This Matters So Much to Me
I grew up looking through old family photo albums, grateful that someone before me had taken the time to save those moments. After unexpectedly losing my grandmother in a car accident, those photographs became even more meaningful. They weren't just pictures anymore. They were pieces of her story we could still hold onto.
Why Dogs Are Always Welcome
That understanding has followed me into motherhood, family life, and my work with dogs too.
I know what it means to love a dog through every season. Jake was the dog I grew up with. Tavish came into my life shortly after Jake passed and became the original Joyful Golden. Ali was my grandmother's dog, and he carried so much of her story with him after she was gone. Jax, Jasper, and Jozy are part of Tavish's legacy, the golden retriever chaos, joy, and tenderness woven through my life.
That's why dogs are welcome here. Not as props. Not as accessories. As family.
Why I Created Forever by Fortier
Now, as a mom, I see how quickly the little years move. The muddy boots, sandy hair, wild laughter, tired snuggles, backyard adventures, and everyday chaos... it all becomes memory faster than we expect.
That’s why I approach every session with so much care. I know these are not just pictures for right now. They are part of your family’s record.
